Strategy
Loading
Urzael is a 2 phase boss that has the player dealing with damaging Urzael while avoiding boss abilities and environmental damage that can pose as major threats to the player. There are two Health pools available during this encounter.
On Torment difficulty, Urzael has a soft enrage timer of 4 minutes. After the 4 minute timer is up, Urzael will set all players on fire dealing continuous damage until either Urzael is killed or all players are killed.
ENGAGING THE BOSS
Upon starting the encounter, Urzael will begin phase 1. When Urzael is brought down to 65%, he will stun all players, play a short cut scene, and begin Phase 2. Phase 2 lasts until the player(s) defeat Urzael.
Phase 1
During Phase 1, players will face Urzael by hiimself. There are no adds during this phase and Urzael only has a few abilities.
Blazing leap
Urzael will charge up for a jump before casting his ability. A red noticable marker will be placed at his point of impact. Players that are near Urzael at the point of launch and at the point of impact will take heavy Fire damage. Player(s) that are in the impact zone of his jump will also be knocked back.
Cannonball
Urzael will face towards a player and charge up a short range shot that releases a firey orb. Players hit by the orb will take a high amount of Fire damage.
Ceiling shot
Urzael will shoot his cannon towards the ceiling, causing burning rubble to fall on the ground damaging player(s) caught within its impact zone. A noticable marker will appear on the ground giving players a clue as to where the ceiling rubble will land.
Phase 2
Upon reaching 65% health, Urzael will stun all players and a short cut scene will play showing Urzael setting the whole building on fire. Combat will resume and Phase 2 begins.
Urzael retains all of his abilities from Phase 1, however there are added effects to a few of these abilities.
Cannonball
During Phase 2, Cannonball will leave a trail of fire that will deal heavy fire damage to any players standing in its trail
Ceiling Shot
The shape of falling ceiling pieces now rectangular instead of circular. Pieces of the ceiling that fall to the ground will remain there for a period of time. Standing in the burning ceiling pieces will cause damage to player(s).
Urzael also gains 2 new abilities during Phase 2
Breath of flame
Instead of shooting a cannonball from his cannon, Urzael will shoot flames (similar to a Flamethrower) and will rotate in an arc in his frontal cone. Players caught in the cone of flame will take heavy fire damage. This abilty should always be avoided.
Fiery Swing
Urzael will periodically swing his cannon like a club to players in Melee range dealing damage to any players caught in its swing.
