St Ursula’s Buzz editors love the learning experience

NAGPUR: Student editors of St Ursula Girls’ High School were elated to visit the TOI office and get a glimpse on what goes on behind the scenes at a newspaper office. The all girl team was proud of its contribution to the popular School Buzz page that has the schools in the region raving.
Purva Manpe, a student of Std X, said, “I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working as a student editor for School Buzz. I was the executive editor and I wrote the editorial about importance of playing outdoor games. This helped me express my thoughts properly to a wide audience.”
Anam Sheikh, a student of Std IX, said, “I had a great time with School Buzz and was given a chance to write on the blackboard. This allowed me to learn to interact with other students and understand the importance of communication.”
Yogda Shrivas, also a Std IX student, said, “I wrote an article on mobile phone and its pros and cons. This helped me fully understand the aspects that go into writing an article.”
Apeksha Chawariya, a student of Std X, said, “I learnt the importance of team work and this really benefitted me. I interviewed the small kids in the school and it helped me understand the skill of interacting with different people.”
Parents too were excited. Yakub Sheikh, father of Anam, said, “It was wonderful for me to know that my daughter was part of the prestigious School Buzz edition. She was very happy and I hope this thing continues for a long time so that others also get a chance to showcase their skill.”

Hemlata Kashyap, Falguni Gour’s aunt, said, “We were extremely happy to see her participation in the high profile School Buzz and this was the first time that we had a picture of somebody from our home published in the newspaper.”
Rajesh Chawariya, Apeksha’s father, said, “She loved it and wanted talk about it since the day she took part in the Buzz edition. We also feel proud knowing our daughter was part of something so popular and has made a name for herself here.
