One thing I’ve noticed during this pandemic are pets. People are getting them, people are are relying more on their furry friends.
There’s a study that pets helped many people coped with the mental stress of being locked down during the covid-19 pandemic.
In this study , it mentioned that pets helped them cope up with being locked down and helped them with keep them fit and active.
“Findings from this study also demonstrated potential links between people’s mental health and the emotional bonds they form with their pets: measures of the strength of the human-animal bond were higher among people who reported lower scores for mental health-related outcomes at baseline,” said lead author Elena Ratschen, a senior lecturer in health services research at the University of York in England
Cats and dogs were the most common pets , with small mammals and fish coming in next.
With the pandemic , there’s also a new term called and emotional support animal.
You can get your pet approved as an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) and you can :
- Enable you to fly with your pet on airplanes without additional fees
- Rent & live with your pet anywhere, even if they have a “No Pets” policy.
- Helps you bring your pet to stores, restaurants, hotels, ride shares & more
- Save money by eliminating costly pet deposits and waive fees
